Dear Pastors and church leaders:
Thank you so much for devoting a whole day last Saturday to study and pray about church planting among Chinese churches in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I am very much encouraged by your engagement and response.
I pray that this will not be just another meeting or event, but it will be the beginning of something important in His Kingdom.
In the meeting we have heard the mentioning of
a place: McKinney
a family who wants to have a church there.
a church who wants to start something there
I looked up from census.gov and this is what I found:
In 2000, McKinney had a population of 54,369 with 89 Asians
In 2006, it has a population of 110,123 and 3751 Asians.
The population has been more than doubled in 6 years, and the Asian population has multiplied 40 times!
The words of our dear sister, Ms Patty is ringing in my years, for so many years, Chinese churches have not done anything in church planting … I pray that this will change because of you.
Bro. Ted Lam said it well as we concluded the training last Saturday. "Just do it!"
I am looking forward to see what we can pray and start working together for a new work in McKinney. The window of opportunity is not always there.
